Well as a reader of this blog , you would know that I am a big fan of animes. I have a lot of animes on my HDD including Naruto , Naruto Shippuden and my Fav Onepiece. I downloaded them in HD Quality.
However , it was not until I noticed my 500GB HDD hit its limit! so I started to encode all the anime series to lower file size.
[ Obviously , I wouldn't want my ANIME collection to go waste ]
It was taking me a lot of time and the quality was poor. :(
so I searched the net whether there are any already encoded anime episodes and I found minitheatre. The Quality is AWESOME and they have got 60mb mkv of encoded anime series. Hence I pushed the download buttons on mediafire or megauplaod and waited for them to finish [ Using J downloader ]
VOILA! The downloading is much faster than encoding "ALREADY ENCODED" animes. [ 60kbps - about 15 mins per episode , if encoding - 3hrs ] Now my HDD Free Space has gone above 70 GB from about 2 GB! The onepiece took about more than 100GB and now its 30GB. LOL!
For the ongoing animes that I watch , I download 2 versions [ The Original HD and 60mb mkv from minitheatre ] so that after watching in HD , I can delete the file to reduce file size [ Either way , they are just STUFFED on HDD so better ARCHIVE them ]
This would also mean that the amount of DVDS that I need to archive my anime collection has also decreased resulting in a greater COST saving. =D
You have to register at minitheatre to view the links and once done , you can get unlimited access to all 60mb links uploaded to mediafire , megauplaod and rapidshare [ and some other file hosting sites ].
The mini theatre dudes also have got excellent tutorials on how they convert to 60mb animes and mu HDD is already full of contents from minitheatre over 100GB! And still am archiving some animes as I write this also [ eg: sengoku basara , DDS , D. gray man ... ]
