I went on a trip with my family to holudhoo and ungoofaaru after Eid for about 11 days. That would be the main reason for the lack of posts! And also my right arm had a crack while I was playing football and had to put plaster!

Are you getting the old interface still? then do the following:

a. Open homepage - http://www.google.com in your web browser. If your browser redirects to its localized version like google.mv etc, you can open following link:

Resource Hacker 3.5 beta

Resource Hacker is a great tool which enables us to modify exe, dll , cpl etc... files or to extract resources in such files.

Resource hacker was updated last on 24 March 2002 and a new beta version, Rshacker 3.5 beta was released on 19 Nov 2009. Now Reshacker can access 64 bit resource files.

Google Public DNS to fasten Dhiraagu web browsing

The Domain Name System (DNS) is a hierarchical naming system for computers, services, or any resource connected to the Internet or a private network. It associates various information with domain names assigned to each of the participants. Most importantly, it translates domain names meaningful to humans into the numerical (binary) identifiers associated with networking equipment for the purpose of locating and addressing these devices worldwide. For example, www.example.com translates to 208.77.188.166.

I noticed that Google dns is faster than Open DNS and poing poing Dhiraagus DNS! (hehe) :-D

Unmask Asterisks (*******) passwords in any browser

In browsers and in many different apps, passwords are hidden with asterisks.

We dont usually see what we are typing in the password column since the letters typed are replaced by asterisks.

Sometimes we just type the password correctly but is never accepted by the site! We would try to login as many times as possible and it is later that we notice that CAPSLOCK is on! Or forgot a character of the password!

In such a case, finding out what we typed in the password column can help us to find our mistake easily and thus would save time/effort on trying to login.

To reveal all ******** in a browser, you just need to paste the following javascript in the addressbar and press enter, go .... etc!

Congratulations to Saff championship 2009 Runnerup: Maldives

I hoped too much that Maldives would win, and started making the above graphitee while the match was being played but however since Maldives got Runnerup, I stopped my work and the above was the result!

Its kinda sad but this is football and if it comes to penalty, then its same as a bet! Also I didnt like the way how Maldivian national team played in the Finals after scoring 5 goals against Sri-Lanka! I guess the team got too over confident.

However VERY BIG CONGRATULATION to MALDIVIAN NATIONAL TEAM for obtaining the 2nd place from SAFF CHAMPIONSHIP (again).

Fix: Dhiraagu Adsl unlimited package slow rapidshare downloads

Dhiraagu Home unlimited package offers unlimited bandwidh for $53.69 ! and it is advertised that speed for this package is 512 kbps! However the real problem is that dhiraagu limits the speed even more when downloading a file from file hosting services like rapidshare.

I noticed the speed limitation when I tried to download a file from rapidshare using DHIRAAGU DEFAULT IP ADDRESS! However by not using DHIRAAGU IP, we can get the real speed from rapidshare. Also Siyah has reviewed this package here and noticed this problem.


Solution is: Use a proxy.

In computer networks, a proxy server is a server (a computer system or an application program) that acts as an intermediary for requests from clients seeking resources from other servers.

A client connects to the proxy server, requesting some service, such as a file, connection, web page, or other resource, available from a different server.

The proxy server evaluates the request according to its filtering rules. For example, it may filter traffic by IP address or protocol.

If the request is validated by the filter, the proxy provides the resource by connecting to the relevant server and requesting the service on behalf of the client.

A proxy server may optionally alter the client's request or the server's response, and sometimes it may serve the request without contacting the specified server. In this case, it 'caches' responses from the remote server, and returns subsequent requests for the same content directly.

Formax sells pirated softwares!

Thats right! The main proof for this is the price of the CDS / DVDs they sell.

Also the fact that all apps they sell are CRACKED! Of course cracked softwares are without a doubt pirated softwares!

According to copyright acts, this is a big crime and is called software piracy! The unauthorized copying of software is software piracy! This is different from hacking!

I went to formax to buy a stuff only once. and that is windows xp sp2. However it didnt run on any pc, because it was a blank CD so I went back to shop for replacement however they said that its my fault and blah blah stuff.... Xp was only for RF 30/- and also I have never gone to formax after that incident!

DVDs have the fear of its tape getting scratched, unreadable, corrupted and so on. Also different DVD ROMs have different read/write speed. Compared to DVD ROMs write/read speed, a megnetic medias such as USB flash disks read/write speed is faster!! and there is no fear of USB flash disks memory getting scratched since it is protected by a coating and installing windows 7 through flash disk fastens up the installation procedure.

ibay is a kinda mimic of ebay! They say that its the Maldives Online Market. And offers buying/selling (Trade) to take place over internet! The buying/selling transactions takes place between the buyer and seller through mobile phone/telephone!

What Happens To Your Email / Social Networking Accounts When You Die?

Death is something that will surely happen to everyone! While we are living, we have created a lot of online accounts of which the most personal are the email and social networking accounts. We password protect these accounts to the fullest, however what will happen to these a/cs after we die?

HOTMAIL: the hotmail a/c is deleted automatically due to inactivity for certain period.(usually one year). Here is a forum thread about accessing the deceased persons hotmail a/c.

YAHOO: VERY STRICT, No one can access your a/c after your death

FACEBOOK: ( should have been the first in list eh? ) Facebook turns your page into a memorial page of the deceased person upon request and family membres are allowed to customize the page and only friends can access the deceased ones a/c!

My thoughts:
When you die you cannot do anything about your online a/cs. and none of it matters! Because a dead person would not even think of those a/cs. Instead they are in for something huge, in fact the hugest thing! However if a relative / close person of you dies, you can delete their a/c or secure their a/c!

I couldnt get to turbo-charged cheetah. It was always Rocketing rabbit. and getting past the one seconds was impossible for me! Well I guess my reaction is not as fast as I had imagined. also you need to click mouse when a sheep ran away, this made the game difficult for me.

Well, the huge amount of wallpapers and image stuffs stored on the computer takes lot of storage space! I came across this (File minimizer pictures) software while I was searching for a software that can compress the images without loss of quality! Backup/restore an Entire Partition/hard disk

Windows xp is still used in many organizations computer networks and individuals. Main reason why people havent upgraded to windows 7 would be the high system specification needed by windows 7. My computer system also lacks some specifications needed for win 7 so I still prefer to use xp.

EG: If you are to go to a lets say computer lab, and needs to install xp/7/vista on each pc, its rather time conusuming since the settings have to be made in each pc. However if you install xp only on one pc, do all the settings/installations and copy the entire hard disk to other PCs in the lab, it would be less time consuming and faster and moreover, you can install simultaneously since each computer is connected to the network. The backuped image file can be stored on server and each computer can access to the image file to restore the image file in C: drive of the computer.

In most cases, all the workstations in the lab/network are the same/have same specifications so there would be no/less drivers installtion problems.

To create an xml image of the partition, we can use DriveImage XML by Runtime softwares.

This software is pretty easy to use! take a look at the folllowing video to know how this software use!



However Restoring is the problem here!! You need BARTPE bootable windows to restore the xml image file to C: drive because the image cant be restored when the C: drive is in use. To create the Bart PE bootable the following video created by runtime dudes might help you! The plugin for Drive image xml to be used with bartpe is here.



Note: If you are booting BartPE from USB you might get a BSOD ( blue screen of Death ) Error message! Its because of the outdated / unmodified NTDETECT.COM file in root of USB! so download the modified NTDETECT.COM file here. Just replace the old NTDETECT.COM file in the root of USB storage drive with this one.

Additional: size should be 46.4kb and size on disk 48.0kb
