The Hour of the Earth

Earth is Crying. We know that because, The tears of it is making lands flood. It cries because we are hurting our own land. We are trying to kill our planet even though we dont know it. Earth is sad as well as angry.

What damage does it do to us? How good is the earth. Why have we survived for this long? Yeah because earth protects us with its life no matter what. But what would happen if own comrades start attacking you? Eventually your spirit to save and protect them would fade and would have to give up causing the death of you. Thats what is happening to earth as well.

Humans are a cruel species that managed to survive on earths surface. But there are some who have mercy to their mother nature who caused the crying of the earth to lighten a little for an hour. They are the WWF (World Wide Fund for Nature/World Wildlife Fund)

Earth Hour is an international event organised by the WWF (World Wide Fund for Nature/World Wildlife Fund), and held on the last Saturday of March each year, which asks households and businesses to turn off their non-essential lights and electrical appliances for one hour to raise awareness towards the need to take action on climate change.

Earth hour was conceived by WWF Australia and the Sydney Morning Herald in 2007, when 2.2 million residents of Sydney participated by turning off all non-essential lights. Following Sydney's lead, many other cities around the world adopted the event in 2008.

Earth Hour is currently taking place on Saturday, March 28, 2009 at 8:30 pm, local time.

I have written this post after the end of the earth hour. Too bad! I hope that it lasted until the earth is healed.

Making your Blogspot blog load faster

As you guys can see, this blogs loads fast. Well still not fast enough for my expectation. Then again, its tweaked to make the blog load faster.

• The most time is taken to load the images in the blog. Obviously, I have a lot of images in my theme in this blog. However the reason why the images load fast is because the images are compressed to make it have a small size allowing downloading of the image faster.
  • I upload images to google pages which compresses any image uploaded. I have notices that the image quality doesn't decrease when uploaded to pages. But the size really smallens. All images in my theme are all uploaded to Google pages to make it load faster.
  • Do not use BMP images : because its size is higher than JPEG,GIF or sometimes PNG. Moreover compressing BMP images makes it quality less. So not good.
  • Delete images in Side bar: There is no need actually, if the content of the blog is good, you will eventually get readers.

• The number of posts on the main page also is a factor determining the load speed of blogspot blog. If all posts written so far are to be posted on the home page, it may take ages to load. Also if a long post is posted on main page also it may happen so for this, I am using a "read the rest of the article" or perhaps a "[...]" sign to load it in another URL.
  • This post may help you setup the read more... But before even thinking of doing as said, BACKUP your blogspot templates.
  • Keep about no more than 10 posts on main page. I keep 05 posts.

• Using less JavaScript in the blog will reduce the blog loading time. Well if its for some outer script other than a widget of blogspot, it will take sometimes minutes to load the script. If you put third party java scripts at bottom, then it will increase load time... well, atleast that's what the blogger help system suggests.

• Removing unwanted sounds and videos :Some blogs takes time to load because of a playlists or some music is set to load in the background. There is no use eh? people will just get bored because that particular song is not their favourite. Thats not the main problem , main problem is that it doubles the time taken to load the blog. If you do, then just remove and see the difference in loading speed.

• Simple Design: A simple design helps a lot to load pages faster. Because a simple one wont have such items as too much javascripts or images. minima template is the most simplest template I have seen in blogsopt templates.

A-patch : Windows live messenger tweaker

There are quiet a number of tweakers to tweak live messenger. But nearly all of them needs to be installed in order to tweak messenger. But I found a portable app called a-patch that is able to remove unnecessary stuffs such as advertisements, remove nudge delay and many more...

The fight - 2nd animation in toon boom [episode 01]

The above is my second animation in toonboom studio 4.5. the animation is done from toonboom studio 4.5.other software's used are: adobe audition, paint.net, AOA audio extractor, photoshop, MS paint and the finishing effects are done with windows movie maker.

This is the episode one of this animation. I couldn't finish the small dialogue I made by my self within a month because of things I have to do. because I was busy at schhol, have to go to football tournament practice, studying and many more...
so sorry guys. The voices in this animation are in dhivehi language. SO I added subtitles. I hope I can finish the second part before june. Since you all know animating is extremely hard. Especiallly in toonboom studio 4.5.And I have started learning toonboom animate.
