When you try to drop files on quick launch bar in windows 7 instead of opening the file, you will be prompted to pin the file to taskbar.
What you need to do : hold down the Shift key while dragging the file to the taskbar button, and it will change to “Open with Application”
and thus you can open the file with the application to which you dragged the file to.

So you have finally tried something other than XP?

I have tried nearly all microsofts operating systems. The only OS that I have tried but dont yet have so much experience is Mac OS. and I dont use mac! U are correct to an extent buddy!
What's your current one? And what do you prefer?
