Kaspersky 2010 (v9.0 )

kaspersky is my no:1 Antivirus software. I have used it for many years. Its, I would say the best antivirus solution out there. The main reason why I like kaspersky is because of its cleaning facility. Once a virus has been deleted, it wont come back again like as in Nod32 which I used before using AVP. Just now, I was informed that the 2010 version has been released.

It has a similar GUI as the 2009 version but the interface is better than 2009th version.

New/improved features in Kaspersky Antivirus 2010:
  • IMPROVED next generation proactive protection from zero-day attacks and unknown threats
  • NEW Kaspersky Toolbar for Internet browsers to warn you about infected or unsafe websites
  • NEW special Game Mode to suspend alerts, updates and scans while you play
  • IMPROVED basic identity theft protection, including improved secure Virtual Keyboard
  • IMPROVED Urgent Detection System to stop fast emerging threats

New/improved features in Kaspersky Internet security 2010:
  • IMPROVED Advanced identity theft protection, including improved secure Virtual Keyboard
  • NEW Unique Safe Run Mode for questionable applications and websites
  • IMPROVED Security Application Monitor to give you full picture on programs installed on your PC
  • IMPROVED Identity Information Controller to give valuable data an extra layer of protection

Gaming mode
: Can activate any time but works only when a full screen app is detected.

Problem with 2010 version: Takes too much memory usage

System requirements:
300 MB free space on the hard drive (the exact number is based on antivirus database size)
Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 or higher (for downloading updates)
Microsoft Windows Installer 2.0 or higher
Microsoft Windows XP, all editions (Service Pack 2 and higher)
Microsoft Windows Vista, all editions (32/64 bit)
Intel Pentium 300 MHz or higher (or equivalent)
512 MB available RAM

That means information for the specific virus hasn't been added yet. It does quite well at deleting new viruses :).
